I just couldn't sell pups, you never know who is going to buy them...and Rotties can be a handful, ours was!! He was a German-bred Rott. (we didn't know there was a difference). He had an attitude problem! His attitude, my problem. He could be sweet and loving one minute, then his left side of his brain would take over! We went to school, we were trained.....and he obeyed, thank goodness! We loved him, when he died, we cried like babies. He is buried at the ranch, out under his favorite tree.... He was only 9 years old...... Now we have RedBone Coon Hounds....such sweet dogs! So completely different from our Rottie.. you can do anything with these pups.....they let me clean their ears or stick my fingers in the feed bowls! I also have a BIG, red, Bloodhound, I rescued, who I dearly love...slobbers and all....I just have to keep a towel with me at all times..... He sleeps in the guest room on his own twin bed !!

My husband and I had a breeding pair of german rotties that we'd had since they were puppies. They were our babies since we didn't have any kids at the time. In 99 we had our son. Then, on christmas of that year they got out and we found them shot dead in a ditch almost a month later....not too far from our house. SOO....we looked everywhere and found the dogs we have now. The males have always had attitudes but my females have always been good with kids. I never really knew there was a difference either but now we have the american rotts. They have really pretty pups. Last time they produced 1 red/tan male puppy out of thier litter of 6. He was georgious! I was going to keep him but someone bought him. :-( I was hoping no one would....lol. Everyone have a good day! :-)

duke is my favorite, mainly in part that i remember when shawn and robin got him and he looked like a fat little hairball...barely had a nose! now i feel sorry for the old boy beacause of his failing sight. i dread that the day will come and i will surely be sad too.

It is always hard to lose the animals we love but as animal people, I guess it's just something we have to go through. Goodness knows I've been through my share....horses, dogs, cats, rabbits......I can't believe I've actually had so many pets. Lol! We should be having our litter of Rotties around May 17th or 18th....can't wait. Hoping for another red rottie so we can keep it! Talk to everyone later!

I have an older female that is a full german rottie.. she wouldn't hurt a fly.. loves everyone! All my rotties have been well mannered and are really good with other people and dogs and cats for that matter. lol Thats why so many people call me every year wanting to know when I will have a litter of pups they love my dogs temperments. I just start them out young taking them everywhere with me socializing them from day 1. But then too they know how to protect mommy if they need to lol AWW now the red rottie that sounds gorgious!!!! I want pictures when your pups are born!! I love puppies.. I just wannna squeeze em lol Duke is 9 now we bought him when he was 7 weeks old. He is an american rottie and the sweetest old feller and so well behaved I wish all my dogs minded like him lol Robin

Of course I will have pics of the puppies when they get here. I think I have a pic of the red rottie male pup we had from the last litter. If you want, I can email it to ya unless someone can tell me how to post a pic on here...lol...i am usually computer illiterate....lol. My rotties are good natured but are very protective of me and my kids and thier territory. They always have very pretty pups even though they are unregistered. We only sell them for $100 each. Every time they are gone quickly. Talk to ya later!

Thanks Robin for posting the pic for me....isn't he just so cute? The puppies from thier litters always look like that except they are usually black w/tan or mahogony markings. That was the first red. We sold him the day before Christmas last year. Talk to ya later! :-)
